AmCham is pleased to have Dennis Lesnick, Chief of Party of USAID/Cambodia’s Helping Address Rural Vulnerabilities and Ecosystem STability (HARVEST) project, implemented by Fintrac, to discuss the plans for the HARVEST Project in Cambodia. Fintrac recently opened an office in Phnom Penh and implementation of the 5-year $56 million project has begun. The purpose of this briefing is to:
1. Explain the opportunities for AmCham members to support the project, and
2. Inform Fintrac of the availability of AmCham member businesses and products.
AmCham members distribute a wide variety of products. HARVEST will be working with small to medium enterprises, quality products, and products that can be purchased in the future by the local businessmen.
HARVEST is a food security project aimed at improving agricultural production and income diversification, with a target of 70,000 rural households in Cambodia. The program covers a wide range of fruit and vegetable crops, aquaculture/fisheries, and Natural Resources Management and Biodiversity. Let’s see how we can do business together.
AmCham has been asked to try more early morning events. We will serve pastries and coffee.
