EXECUTIVE STAFF

The AmCham Cambodia executive staff exist to serve the AmCham membership and are responsible for the daily operations of AmCham.
Executive Director
Mr. Travis Mitchell
After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, Travis Mitchell initiated his career working at an international public health NGO for several years. He then pursued his Master’s degree in Lund, Sweden and conducted research in Cambodia at a local think tank in 2011. Realizing the dynamism that Cambodia was experiencing, Travis relocated back to Cambodia in 2013, where he worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Cambodia. He was later promoted as the Director of the Council for Research and Creativity, where he helped create and foster a culture of research throughout the Institution. He simultaneously served as the National Coordinator of the Contemporary Teaching Methods for South Asia (CONTESSA) research project financed by the European Commission. After spending almost seven years developing human resources in Cambodia, Travis now serves as the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, where he is looking forward to connecting with members of the private sector, creating opportunities for growth and investment, and cultivating ties between American and Cambodian business people.

Director of Communications & Events
Mr. Sipheng Cheang
Upon obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pannasastra University of Cambodia in 2016, Sipheng Cheang started off his career path in the educational sector; not long afterwards, he shifted to business development, sales, marketing, and strategic management for various industries, ranging from small enterprises to big corporations in Cambodia. Sipheng has a strong knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship since he has been involved with many local and international education institutions as well as entrepreneurs from Cambodia, South Korea and the United States. His previous experiences at Royal Cambodia Limousine Service and CAMFEBA have prepared him for this managerial role in public relations and customer service, operations management, event planning, as well as sales and marketing.

Office Manager
Ms. ChanMonyneat Teik

Chan Monyneat became a part of the chamber in June 2020 as the office manager. She maintains and manages day-to-day office activities to ensure effective and efficient operations within the office and plays a role as a point of contact for chamber’s information.

She is currently a senior student majoring in International Relations at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. During her journey in college, she has been exposed to work in different fields through her volunteering work as liaison officer to international delegates during the World Economic Forum 2017, Cambodia National Election 2018 and the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum 2019 organized by the Cambodia government. Despites, she is a former protocol intern at the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh in winter 2018. Due to her socialise, energetic and ability to adapt in learning to the new environment with a wide range of people from different backgrounds including locals and international NGOs, entrepreneurs, government officials and diplomats, Chan Monyneat has developed her knowledge and skills on professional communication and interpersonal skill.

Chan Monyneat has also participated in a few international programs namely Southeast Asian Service Leadership and Network (SEALNet) in Saigon-Vietnam 2014, Jenesys 2.0 in Japan 2015 and Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) in Singapore 2016.

Communications and Events Intern
Ms. Muyly Leav

Muyly is a senior student at Institute of Foreign Languages, majoring in International Relations. With her experience volunteering for various programs and events, she has accumulated her skills in public relations, communication as well as project and event management. Muyly was a core team member of Ignite Cambodia and an intern at Teach For Cambodia via Chevening Internship Programme. With her outstanding academic background and work experience, she was selected by AmCham Cambodia and has now served as a communication and event intern with the chamber. She believes this internship is a golden opportunity for her to experience the real working environment that will contribute to her personal and professional development, which will prepare her for her future career after graduating.
