I am an American with nearly two decades of residence in Cambodia, during most of which I have been involved in some way with the Amcham. I currently serve as Chairman of the Law Committee. As Chairman, I have sought to: 1. involve our committee members to add value to Amcham members and each other by sharing their legal knowledge through events and publications; 2. increase networking opportunities for members; 3. advocate for member interests; and 4. recognize the good work done in the public interest via annual pro bono awards. Over the years I have worked in Cambodia on a range of issues in the public and private sectors including as a private consultant, as an academic, and as a commercial advisor for the U.S. Department of State. In my private sector work, I advised on a range of matters including market entry, corporate compliance, corporate governance, licensing, project finance, trusts, insolvency, and dispute resolution. In my prior public sector work, I worked on high-level U.S. investment and trade policy issues with the Royal Government of Cambodia. I graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Hawaii (where I also was an East-West Center Fellow), a Master of Arts degree from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
