The Events Coordinator owns that production work. In this Chamber the event function is shared across the team: the Partnerships & Revenue Manager sells the sponsorship, the Marketing Manager promotes it, the Finance Officer approves the budget and negotiates with vendors, the Policy Operations Manager handles government guests, and a named event lead sets the concept and program with the committee. The Coordinator is the person who turns all of that into a room that is ready on the day. It is a logistics and execution role, not a sales, budget or program-design role, and it is built to be done well by someone who loves checklists, venues and the quiet satisfaction of a plan that holds.
The right candidate is calm on event day, methodical in the weeks before it, comfortable working in Khmer and English with hotel banqueting teams and printers, and happy to be one of several names on every event rather than the only one. The Chamber has recently moved its event records into shared tools (an Events Pipeline board, a standard budget workbook, a registration app and QR ticketing), so the role starts with a system to run rather than one to invent.
The Executive Assistant & Operations Officer is the person who keeps the Chamber’s daily operations running: the inbound channels answered, the records filed and findable, the Board meeting set up, the invitation register current, the supplier paid and the new colleague’s laptop working on day one. It is the role that makes it possible for five specialists to spend their time on members, events, revenue, communications and policy.
This is a role with real judgment in it. The Chamber is automating much of its routine intake (invitations, registrations, social media requests), and as that happens the value of this seat shifts from handling messages to deciding what needs a person, and making sure it gets one. The right candidate is comfortable with digital tools, discreet with confidential matters, and unbothered by senior company.
Two boundaries keep the role clear. Government relations, ministry outreach and committee secretariat work belong to the Policy Operations Manager; this role assists that function with its administrative side but does not own it. Event delivery belongs to the Member Services & Events Manager; this role supports events where the Executive Director assigns it.
The role covers Google Workspace administration, Windows PCs, office networks, printers and troubleshooting, with occasional support for event AV and camera setups. This is an ad hoc, paid-by-the-hour or per-job engagement, ideal for someone with hands-on Google Workspace admin experience who is comfortable working in both Khmer and English.
